Presence in Absence
This series explores the delicate balance between connection and solitude. The figures stand close, their forms entwined by overlapping light, each shaped by the presence of the other. Shadows fall gently across them, not as barriers, but as quiet reminders of how intimacy and distance often coexist.
The compositions capture the tension between holding and release. The figures lean together, yet each retains a private gravity, an inner quiet that remains untouched. Through the shifting tones of dark and pale, the work evokes the way relationships carry both warmth and weight, how closeness can illuminate and obscure at once.
At its heart, In Shadow of One Another reflects the fragile harmony that binds us. It speaks to the shared silence between souls, where companionship does not erase individuality, but deepens it. These works invite the viewer to sense the beauty of mutual presence, where even the softest shadow becomes a form of touch.
Veil of Silence
A breath withheld, a hush of thread,
woven whispers, words unsaid.
The air is thick with stories spun,
stitched in shadow, lost to none.
A face half-seen, a world concealed,
the weight of time is silk revealed.
Not hidden, yet not truly shown,
a presence felt, but left unknown.
Does the veil protect or blind?
Does it soften, or confine?
Between the folds, a quite plea–
to be, to see, to set free.
May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears
